D2R Ladder was revealed at BlizzCon D2R Items in 2018. It was originally revealed as a mobile game following Blizzard Entertainment's legendary Diablo series of action RPGs that began in 1997. With the release of a PC version coming on Thursday D2R Ladder will feature crossplay between mobile and PC similar to Blizzard's Hearthstone. It's been 10 years when Diablo 3 was released, and a huge number of players have been waiting for the next installment ever since. More than 30 million players already registered to play D2R Ladder immediately as it came out and it's one of the most anticipated games in 2022 despite the stigma behind mobile games.

Initially scheduled for launch on June 2. the D2R Ladder's mobile client was launched a day ahead of schedule.
