In both Diablo 4 and Diablo 2: Resurrected, among the Druid's most defining skills is his ability to shapeshift. In both matches, the Druid uses a particular skill to accept the kind of either a Werewolf or a Werebear. While only one of those skills can be active at a time at Resurrected, they stay so until the Druid makes the decision to change form again.
By contrast, the transformation just lasts 3 minutes in Diablo 4, before the Druid reverts back into human form. However, rather than being tied to a single ability, shapeshifting at Diablo 4 is attached to array of skills. For example, a Druid may use the Shred basic ability to transform and attack as a werewolf at-will. They can also utilize more advanced skills like Ravenous Bite to sustain the conversion, or to change forms.
Just like the Druid at Diablo 2: Resurrected, the Diablo 4 Druid's abilities are all restricted to one or two forms. This means that after using a shapeshifting skill to transform into a werewolf, the Druid won't be able to cast spells which require human kind until they've turned back. In Diablo 2: Resurrected, just certain particular spells could be cast from werewolf and werebear forms.
