Gosh, this seems so complicated. On pso2 sales the one hand, kudos for keeping the original game intact so that there won't be a riot over fluctuations people do not like. However on the other hand, since they're remaking base PSO2 visuals anyhow, I wish they would only go 100 percent and synchronize character models entirely. Giving old players some free fashion items and unlocks will be enough to bribe everyone to take the new system.

Synchronizing 100% character models does not seem simple. The dilemma is that the old outfits and layer wear are modeled to fit the old pso2 body. In order to synchronize it, they'd have to recreate from scratch (haha pun) 8 years of cosmetics. That's not likely to occur. Well, I mean that I'd be ready to shed a certain percentage of these makeup to help keep things intact across versions. As long as there's a steady feed of cool new stuff to replace it, I don't mind. I always rotate out my old looks anyway. As long as the character models translate 1:1 it will still feel like mine.

The instance I can think of is that the Monster Hunter Frontier Z collaboration where I could envision the clothing and weapons could unquestionably be provided a visual update along with everything else but that I don't exactly know how the licensing or how the side of the collaboration works where I would wish it was as simple as Sega going through and updating the assets but I do not understand about how much of Capcom is involved in that procedure.

The same is applicable to collaborations such as the Final Fantasy XIV collaboration with Odin (which still exists as far as I know) where I do not know just how much Square Enix is involved that for Sega to be able to update assets there. If it was purely just Phantasy Star-related things (such as character outfits, cameos from other games, or alternative Sega-related properties) I could imagine this probably would have been done, or would be carried out. But from the Global variant we don't have the presence of Cougar NX so I don't exactly know if there are other complications regarding Sega's properties that may also contribute to not updating everything they can within reason.

I can envision that likely out there we'll still see somebody wearing those older collaboration things even when they are not rigged up to buy PSO2 Meseta the same criteria as fresh makeup in a similar manner and that there definitely would have been outrage when it was made obsolete or unusable. Collabs that have had their makeup removed nevertheless have their resources exist on the sport so those will likely still be accessible for jp players.
