My daughter, husband, and
Animal Crossing New Horizons Bells I all have homes on an Animal Crossing island which I created. My daughter is not that good at the game, and that she usually only decorates her own house with stuffed animals and random nick nacks that my husband and I depart. I woke up last weekend to find that every tree had been cut back on the staircase, tons of flowers were dug up, outdoor furniture moved round, and randomly dug holes everywhere. I sat down and had a chat with my daughter about respecting other people's efforts and out of anger I took her switch and said she would get it back at the end of the week. My husband thinks this is unnecessary since it is just a video game, but frankly I feel like it was disrespectful to fuck up my work even though it is not a tangible thing. Perhaps a week was somewhat excessive, but I think there's a lesson my daughter can learn from this about respect. What do you believe reddit?
EDIT: I forgot to mention I did speak with my daughter when we initially bought the game and told her she can do whatever she wants to her own house and lawn but that she needs parental consent to make big changes on the remainder of the island.
Was there ever any talk BEFORE playing the sport about proper etiquette? EDIT: Someone advised me to edit this to devote a judgment. Correct me if I'm doing it wrong.Because OP stated they had a previous arrangement, my final decision would be NTA.Sorry, forgot to mention that my daughter and I had an arrangement that she can do whatever she wants for her house and the space outside but she needs to ask my husband or I for consent to make massive changes on the remainder of the island.Impossible to say I started working on it around a month and a half ago and kept at it on and off bit by bit during that time. Still little pieces that I am gonna keep working on!
This is really cool! I actually made Aeriths home from FFVII in Animal crossing (the place in the remake, furnishing remains in advance ) but want to make my next island Kingdom kisses themed
