Fascinating to see a completely opposite point of view, Jethraw. While I feel inclined to agree with you, I don't agree that everything must have a use and all space has to
RuneScape gold be productive. For me, that ends up having an area like Burthorpe: it is lively, it is crowded, and it's horrible to maintain because there are far too many NPCs, skills, and thoughts included (often where you may easily combine several NPCs and regions into one) and you eliminate the ambience which made the region interesting ahead.
In a sense, Taverley was nice because it was peaceful, and that made it feel as the type of place where druids might hang out. It gave Burthorpe a reason, as it had been, since they fought to protect this area. The woods between them nicely illustrated a real difference between the two towns, and a fair change in momentum.
Though I wasn't attempting to explain agility shortcuts, I can see why it sounded like it. What I intended was that the particularly artificial blockades appeared ridiculous. The long fences extending around the desert are all that divides sand out of bud. If agility menus were redefined so that they weren't connected to certain places but rather were particular activities (e.g. level 50, learn how to climb all cliffs, level 80, learn to climb ice with two or three pickaxes) then these bounds would be more logical.
Yeah, I don't like what they've done with Burthorpe and Taverly. There is no differentiation between the two now, and it seems overly packed with no feel of settlement. I remember having a plaza with a few things, such as having a marketplace in Burthorpe and a church (or even maybe a cathedral if we desired it for a city...), but we certainly need more space between Taverly and Burthorpe.
I really don't enjoy seeing all the trolls in Taverly. I don't like how absurd they've made it and how low levelled the trolls are. I need Burthorpe to feel like a gritty military city protecting the principality's lands out of the trolls. It does not feel very militant anymore, also until the upgrade it didn't feel as a town or a town. I agree about the boundaries, though Jagex are making the transition into desert a bit smoother. Even when I started I found it really strange. If we left the map bigger it'd surely be useful.
Karamja generally could use an upgrade. South of Brimhaven it looks like a major square, not very realistic looking. To get from town to town, the figures needed to
buy OSRS gold walk .
