St-Michel: Also, you have the levels 110 zones which WOTLK Classic Gold open up. Once you've hit the level cap it's not even close to the end. You're still in Suramar, which just opened up. There's still your artifact that you're levelling. There's lots of content that can be completed by completing level 110.Then we get towards the new Artifact Weapons. Could you give us a something about what they are and how they function?

Barriga: So , players may already be familiar with legendary quest lines from before where certain classes had special quests and an exclusive weapon specific to their class. For Legion we created a quest line for every class's spec. Mages, for instance, have three acquisition lines per each of their spec. In addition, Druids are equipped with four. They have one for each of their specs. Very carefully tailored tale of how you acquire the weapon. The weapon has very specific powers that are available with this weapon. As you advance in power, the weapon will grow in strength with your growth. It's basically the classes' version of Excalibur.

According to what I've read I've heard, these weapons aren't going to make it into any future expansions, should one ever come. Do you have any thoughts on the reasoning behind this choice?

Barriga: In a way we are given the power to design these weapons to be as amazing as we would like them to be. If there's something we like about the powers that we really appreciate and think should be core to the class Then we're able to bring that expertise within the core class. If, right from the beginning we stated, "This is something we must carry on," you'd be looking at more of a narrower design possibilities [and] more traditional powers.

The talents at the ends of each branch in the tree extremely powerful and they change the way you play. Therefore, we would like to think of them a little bit as experiments. In a sense it's an opportunity for us to test new ideas without the commitment of being bound by the idea from this point to the end of time. The Artifact Weapons themselves will vanish after Legion, but the skins will stay.

Like Garrisons for instance, this was the first instance we decided, "Hey, we really would like to explore this feature, but we're not sure we want to try it for the rest of our lives." I think that paid off because everything felt important to Warlords of Draenor and when Warlords was done it was thinking, "Okay, Garrisons had their role, but we'd prefer to move on buy WOW WOTLK Classic Gold ." If we had stated that garrisons were an aspect of the game instead of the expansion, we would have a terribly cumbersome system that would require maintenance as well as facelift again. It's a new system that we like better.
