Blizzard also clarified its reasoning for D2R Items removing TCP/IP support, one of the features that was in the first version Diablo. This feature was removed due to it "enabling significant security-related issues" in the game.

"We're aware that the removal of this feature can create a big barrier for the talented modders from our community," Blizzard wrote. "Still it is our goal to make sure that our game's environment is and its players as secure as is possible to all of our players."

Additional changes will be coming to console lobbies in the full version of the game. These will allow players to easily group with their fellow players based on the different activities. In spite of requests from players, Blizzard has stated that console versions of Diablo Resurrected do not have the possibility of creating customized lobbies, but it will "monitor the feedback received on this subject" following the game's launch.

Diablo: Resurrected will support cross-progression across platforms in the coming days of September 23. It's already available to pre-order. The game will release at the same time that Blizzard continues to work through the consequences of a state of California lawsuit alleging that the company is guilty of discrimination and harassment towards women. Diablo IV, which recently lost its game director, is currently in development , and has no release date.

"Our ambition was to make the characters of Diablo IV look as artistic and as individual as possible, using cutting-edge tools and techniques," Mueller said in the latest Diablo Quarterly blog post. "Over the course of time, our hopes about what we thought we could create grew and really solidified into what you are seeing now. We wanted to work with the most modern tools and techniques however we had concerns about embracing 'realism' in a way that wouldn't have that handmade feel we believed was fundamental to cheap D2R Ladder Items any Blizzard video game."
