Blizzard entertainment has bought WOTLK Gold  Massachusetts-based games studio Proletariat that will be working with World of Warcraft going forward to help meet the "voracious desire" among players to create new content. It's happening while Blizzard is being bought by Microsoft via the Xbox maker's $75 billion deal to buy Activision Blizzard.

Activision Blizzard confirmed on Friday that Blizzard's deal to acquire Proletariat was concluded and it also added a few additional details. President Bobby Kotick said the company plans to hire "hundreds" additional developers over the next couple of years. The company will "serve the requirements" for the WoW playerbase.

"The extraordinary team at Proletariat will be a vital component of our talent acquisition actions," Kotick said.

Blizzard President Mike Ybarra offered his own statement, saying the purchase of Proletariat will enable them to "meet and exceed" player expectations.

"A essential aspect that players take care of is taking care of our teams--making sure we have the tools to make experiences that our communities will love , while giving our teams space to discover even more innovative possibilities within their projects," Ybarra said. "Proletariat is the ideal fit for supporting Blizzard's mission in providing top-quality content to our players frequently."

Proletariat is expected to eventually be "fully fully integrated" into Blizzard in the coming years, Activision Blizzard said.

In the course of the agreement that was first revealed in VentureBeat, Proletariat will become an official Blizzard studio. The studio's 100 developers will contribute to continuing development for WoW and the Dragonflight expansion which is scheduled to buy WOW WOTLK Classic Gold roll out in the year. Proletariat's newest game, Spellbreak, is shutting down.
