The City upgrade erases what was one of 2K21's greatest upgrades - the elimination of load times. Even on PS5 it will be waiting indefinitely every when you're looking to leave your house or leave the practice facility

I think it's going to be a major blow. It's clear that the defensive aspect on this particular court is the best it's ever been for the past few years. It's much more easy to glide around the court and not be in the game this year. It's refreshing to see less spectacular contact basketball this year. This was a long and exhausting 2k21.
Offensively, shooting can feel a bit more difficult but this is mostly due to the enhanced defense and not the mechanics of the shot meter. The passing skills are amazing in this case. Moving the ball around feels effortless. The game has been fun for the couple of days the game has been playing.
2K22 has reintroduced its tried-and-true shot meter after last year's radical change and it's felt like I'm generally taking more open shots early in my character's development than I did previously. It's very difficult to be having the status of an NBA player and be bricking jumping all the time, but I feel like even lower-rated characters can prove useful this time around.
I think they've found something in their gameplay they should be leaning into. I'd like them to lean into instead of giving us every one of these silly sponsored missions and side-missions in MyCareer. Why is State Farm in this game? Should I buy insurance
