In addition to Madden NFL 22's features, the new narrative/career mode hybrid Face of the Franchise returns with Madden 21 coins a brand-new story titled "United We Rise." Players will be able to play as linebackers in their single-player career; Face of the Franchise had been limited to quarterbacks, running backs, and receivers until now. The character created in "United We Rise" will also function as the player's avatar in The Yard, the new, arcadelike multiplayer suite that Madden NFL 21 introduced.

Madden NFL 22 launches August 20 on Google Stadia and PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC. The main characters on the cover are quarterbacks from last season's Super Bowl -- Tampa Bay's Tom Brady and Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes, both of who have had Madden covers before (Brady for Madden NFL 18, Mahomes for Madden NFL 20). The latest features we've listed here, such as Next-Gen Stats, the home field advantages, as well as the new game day atmospherics and presentations, will not be available on PC or older consoles.
