Overview
Mid-level players are forced to RS gold improve their skills or be incapable of playing the game due to the high number of high-level players. God Wars Dungeon is one example. While the original bosses were not designed for 138s who could complete hundreds of kills, they weren't meant to be used by players who are 138s. There's no possibility of defeating them if you aren't a 38.
Skillcapes put unusual impetus to increase a skill level to 99, since each 99 level now comes with the possibility of earning a real reward, even though there is no real content between a mid-to-high level and a maximum level. This means that even if the xp may be terrible, players will continue to work for that skill.
Players loudly complain each when a skill gets made easier as it "cheapens" the game. Zezima quit due to the fact that it was simple for him and others. This tarnished what he'd achieved. I'd like to hear an open discussion about the best way to fix this without wrecking the game. It's not possible. I believe not. Here are a few ideas I have:
From the bottom, you can add valuable content. It is possible to include content from levels 70-99 to Herblore. The intensity of the xp curve from, say, 70 onwards. Although skills will be more difficult to increase than 10 times, it shouldn't be as hard. That never used to be an issue until it became necessary to go that high...now it's a problem for a lot of people because there's actually plenty of content available. It seems like there should be a way to make content that is mid-level more meaningful and not just a means towards a goal at the top (high quality content). But I don't know what to do.
A probably small portion of the community does actually participate for the grind and feeling of accomplishment. Most of the players are trying to master 200 million skills. They gain no content, yet they still play the game. My opinion is that runescape does not have a goal worthy of cheap RuneScape gold reaching. For 200 kills per round, you can take out bandos. You ask why? Why?
