Description :
Hot...well, lukewarm on the heels of Path of Exile's Sacrifice of the Vaal "mini-expansion" back in March , Grinding Gear Games has announced another one. It's named Forsaken Masters, and it's not about your MA in Media Studies but rather a bunch of legendary trainers/quest-givers who, too, have been exiled to PoE's monster-filled rock. The details are here , but basically: seven new skill trainers, the inclusion of hideouts, upgradeable crafting benches, more.
Whenever you're tempted to think that all free-to-play games are wretched abominations, remember the extraordinarily generous Path of Exile. In addition to a fulsome main game, devs Grinding Gear are releasing regular free updates. First there was Sacrifice of the Vaal; now there's Forsaken Maasters, although sadly I had to add that extra 'a' myself. What's in it? Seven masters, who will do things like train you and give you missions, and—if they trust you enough—take you back to their secret hideout (essentially your own little personalised town). New modding options, items and challenge leagues await in the expansion too. I particularly like this sexy image of some modded gloves:
Phwoar. Two of Forkaken Masters' forsaken masters have been revealed so far: Haku the armour dude and Vorici the "master assasin". The others will be revealed in dribs and drabs up until the expansion's release date of August 20th.

For those of you ready to crush your enemies and see them driven before you, today is the day: Conan Exiles has left Early Access. Funcom's open world multiplayer survival and crafting sandbox arrived in Early Access in January of 2017, and since then has sold over a million copies. To see what's changed over the past 16 months, have a look at the launch trailer above.
I recently got to demo a near-launch build of Conan Exiles, and came away pretty impressed with the progress its made. In addition to doubling the size of its world map and introducing new biomes like the volcanic and swamp areas, Funcom has added a number of features to Exiles over the past months, like a fun and handy free-climbing system, improved combat, and Purges, wherein mobs of NPC enemies attempt to overrun your settlement or fort and drive you from their lands. Overview
Conan Exiles is available on Steam POE currency trade . The price, $30 during its time in Early Access, has risen to $40 at launch.

It's Minecraft, but not as we know it. The latest build of popular shader pack Sonic Ether’s Unbelievable Shaders (SEUS) implements path tracing, a rendering method similar to ray tracing, and the results are stunning.
I love the way the light reflects off the floor in the first clip below, and in the second clip you can see sunlight streaming through a window. It looks better in videos than in screenshots—almost like Minecraft 2.0. Make sure you hit fullscreen on the videos for the full effect.

Naturally, getting visuals this good out of Minecraft requires a powerful set-up. Notglacier, the user that posted the videos on Twitter, said he was getting between 25 and 40 fps from a rig that includes an i9-9900k CPU and a GTX 1070 Ti.
The latest build of SEUS is currently only available to Patreon backers, but I'm sure it won't be long until it makes it into the general release.

The next game to haul itself onboard the Twitch livestream bandwagon is Path of Exile . The ARPG will allow streaming from within the client, Twitch chat—the whole shebang.
The full details are listed in the 0.11.2 patch notes on the Path of Exile forum , but basically, the Twitch integration is everything you'd imagine it to be. Everything's doable in-game, including Twitch chat and a webcam option to allow for the hilarious streaming of your facial expressions alongside your monster bashing. Linking your Twitch account to your Path of Exile account will also add to the live broadcasting functionality—little clickable icons next to player names will lead straight to their stream buy POE exalted orbs .
