The majority of the changes to its mechanics were incorporated into the vanilla game in patch 2.0.1. However, the overall message is that players will receive more diverse loot more often. The overall reaction has been optimistic. "It's nice to now have people reacting to new changes" Mayberry says, "and I think the changes are great."
"We are confident that we're in a favorable position as we're able to play constantly," he added. "There's plenty of excitement that we're waiting to see what players are going to say. "Leading the charge for Reaper of Souls is Josh Mosqueira who was named the role of game director on June 2013. Mayberry spoke about the impact some of his decisions have been affecting the game. "Josh arrived and really encouraged Adventure Mode and the cheap D2R Ladder Items dynamic difficulty system.
