  • Description : Personally, for me, it was the loyalty programme that proved to be the most significant success, it set the way for the game, and I wasn't a fan in any way. In reality, there was an earlier skin promotion which you had to purchase membership in a specific way to gain it. It was the first time I was exposed to the FOMO kind of content in RS. It's possible that I could have been content without EOC without the numerous cheap FOMO occasions and the RWT events that were happening at in the same time. I like how the old school approaches this, and how you can get every holiday item of each year after you have completed the Christmas events. The difference is similar to the night and day, there is no one is forcing players to participate. We play because we enjoy it. For me, EoC was the main reason. It was the reason that made Runescape more enjoyable, but not RuneScape my favorite (in regards to anything that is combat-related such as PvM, PvP, mini-games Slayer and so on). However, MTX and Loyalty reward programs that gave players a reward who spent money or simply because you've been a player for a longer time isn't something I enjoy. I would like everyone to be on the same level. As you said, in the case of loyalty program cosmetics I don't like the thought of them disappearing for ever. This is similar to Leagues rewards, which are a once-only thing. At the very least, in OSRS Jagex, they're fair enough to declare "We know you didn't get the rewards in league 1 but you can purchase those rewards using points earned from leagues 2 and 3". The limited-time offers are not allowed within OSRS IMO (even with Christmas items). Each year, you can unlock previous rewards, and it's the best method). There's no flame, but that's an enormous amount of work put into a piece of writing that's not likely to alter anyone's mind since our views on the good and bad were formed in the past 10 years. I am a fan of the game as it plays and would happily enjoy it with no updates for the duration of my life (would prefer that thralls were eliminated) however some players require updates to keep their interest and their opinions aren't going to be in harmony. Yes, I understand that people will not change their opinions about things however the purpose of my post was to point out that the opinion of an individual isn't always identical to everyone else's. Certain things are snubbed in RS3 that are acceptable in OSRS when done in a proper way. Take a look at GWD, Shooting Stars, Priff, and even Nex. The majority of them are direct copies of RS3 (like GWD) and some are slightly altered (shooting rates for star rewards/XP Priff is not an official "hub" for the community of high-tier players, and Nex is only dropping torva, and it being nerfed to match OSRS BIS stats, and not overpowering). I believe Summoning Dungeoneering, Summoning, and a myriad of other things in RS3 might be ok in OSRS similar to the ones listed above, provided they're modified to fit into our game. Some things don't need being added... There are a myriad of ideas that aren't in RS3 that could be conceived as well. I'm open to anything so long as it's planned correctly, discussed in depth and then voted on by the majority of players. This assures that it's safe for the game.RSorder Offers Cheap Old School RS Gold(OSRS GP), Accounts, Items and Boosting.
