Overview

  • The entire no-trade and no-PVP focus as OSRS Gold of 2007, furthered by the modifications to the actual mechanics in Evolution of Combat, just changed RuneScape into something that no longer appeals to me. It is a watered down MMORPG which is trying to be something it can't be.

If the game was the same as it was prior to the Grand Exchange and all the rest, I would still have played RuneScape while watching TV. As it was it was, they ruined my passion in the name of improving the game, and it was not suitable for me any more. In a way, OSRS would be something I'd love should I return.

My problem is that I'd have to start all over again. For players with a character that was most active in the OSRS days, it is difficult to transfer my account into OSRS (as far as I can tell).

I was scared of doing the same, however, after I began Skilling a little I got hooked once more. I left the day of RS3 release and I still have never logged in to the game. I do have an Max combat Account with a few other 99s. So I feel the pain in having to start over in 07 again, but at the same it's almost nostalgic, and I feel that Rush returning to a level.

While it can be painful to start over, I found that once I began playing I could not stop. Mobile version of the game has been a huge help. It's very easy to play any time. It's great that you can skill during the lunch break.

I'd like to know if there's anyone participating in the beta, and your thoughts about whether you'll be using the beta and whether you think it'll be a hit. Is Jagex ready to face the world of mobile gaming in which cheaters are as prevalent to Buy RS3 Gold occur as in regular gaming? I can only assume they're trying to ensure people can't cheat however I don't think they'll be able to see all of their preventative measures working.
