Overview
- "There was lots of encouragement in this expansion, both from the team as well as from the community to want to WoTLK Gold be able to express themselves better," Cash said. "And I believe that humans represent the best example of this. We had people that said, 'I am a huge fan of Azeroth and I play all the time but I'm not able to create a character like me.' This was something we listened to and that was really the start of our work to create the customizing options for characters."
The primary goal of the new options will be for the human race, but Blizzard is hoping to broaden this out to other races down the road.
"Humans are the first step in the story, and after that going to our other races as well searching for new chances ... regardless of whether they're just looking like them or want to appear different from themselves. The aim is to give players more options that they've never had before," Cash said.
Cash also mentioned that Blizzard expects to continue to add further customization options in the future, though he did not reveal any specific plans. Also , coming to Shadowlands is the option to switch genders without costing you anything.
The customization options include items such as tattoos, jewelry, beards, hairstyles, and even flowers for their hair. In addition, certain accessories that were dependent on other options are now open to all. For instance hair color could previously lock you into the same shade for tattoos on the face, but now you can mix and match freely. For Worgen players the game lets you alter your appearance on your own through a streamlined menu and system.
