Overview

  • It's possible to play a game for a thousand hours however that doesn't mean you enjoy the game. We've all seen that meme of RuneScape Gold someone giving an unfavorable Steam review, with more than 5000 hours recorded. However, let's face it, that's just not an absurd concept anymore.

I've dug hundreds of hours in Fallout 4, and I probably played through about five of them. It was all about an expectation of entertainment as I played through that bloody "kill and loot then return' game loop getting my brain thinking it was having fun. And I've seen the comments you've made about Skyrim and you've come crawling back to it over and over. We're all a bit smug, us.

However, what about old School RuneScape? I don't know. It's easy to spot the time sink games that consume your time and you then moan about it online. But RuneScape is something completely different. If I'm not playing, I'm not able to formulate an opinion on it. I hear the music in my mind, and feel a gravitational pulling me back to it. Discovering it was not on my mobile was a mishap. My family hasn't contacted me in the past few days.

RuneScape was among the pioneers. It was a game that is solely about engagement, but it doesn't always have to be in conjunction with pleasure. That's not to say the two are incompatible It's just that there are options to play even when you're not having fun.

RuneScape is also one of the best in what it does. I've been watching the fan-made documentary RuneScape Historical Timeline 1998 through 2020, on the growth of the game (it has really impacted my entire everyday life) and OSRS Buy Gold the game's developers were shocked to see players achieving their statistics in months rather than years.
