My father was stationed in Korea and was taught how to make this popular Korean dish by one of the local residents. Great served over white rice and with a side of stir fry vegetables!

Overview
- Ingredients
1 pound thin strips of beef
3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1 tablespoon garlic
4 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
1/4 cup chopped scallions
1 cup warm water
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
In a large bowl add in all ingredients except the beef and stir. Next, add in the beef. Refrigerate for about one hour. After one hour, pour ingredients in to a large frying pan and bring to a boil. Let simmer for about 10 minutes.
Note: I usually let this dish refrigerate for several hours so that the meat is nicely marinated but one hour is also plenty of time! I also save some of the scallions to sprinkle on top of the bulgogi once it is served on the plate.
